If you fertilize your cacti every 2 months, the amount of alkaloids will increase. You should check that the fertilizer contains a wide range of minerals and trace elements. In most garden centers, you can also buy finished cacti fertilizers.

Another way to increase the amount of Mescaline, is by injecting the cacti with precursors of Mescaline.

Depending on the substances, the injection has to be made 4 or 6 weeks before the harvest.

Using Dopamine, the injection has to be made 4 weeks before the harvest. Do not water the cacti for 2 weeks before the injection. This makes it dryer and causes it to take up the injections faster.
A saturated solution of free base Dopamine in .05 N solution of hydrochloric acid should be prepared.
If you inject peyote cacti, you inject it twice in the root and once in the button, just above the root. Push the needle into the centre of the cacti, inject the solution slowly and wait a few seconds before pulling out the needle.
If you inject San Pedro cacti, you inject the cacti every 10 cm, in a spiral pattern.

If Dopamine is not available, you can also combine Tyramine and Dopa (Dioxyphenylalanine) and use it instead of Dopamine. You also have to keep the cacti dry for 2 weeks before injecting, but in this case, you have to do the injections 6 weeks before you harvest.
